About

Engineer who likes small, sharp software that solves real problems.

I've been programming for over six years. Somewhere along the way I stopped chasing trends and started caring about the things that actually matter: clarity, performance, and shipping software people genuinely use.

Hey, I'm Sawcy.

I build full-stack web apps, Roblox game systems, cross-platform desktop tools, and developer tooling. The throughline is that I like problems where the solution has to feel fast and trustworthy - networking, performance, and the kind of details users never notice until they're missing.

My favorite recent project, Beam, exists because my dad needed a simple way to move files between two laptops. That's the kind of work I care about most: small, useful, and built well enough that a non-technical person can use it without a tutorial.

What I value
Simplicity is a feature
The best tools disappear. If it needs a tutorial, it usually needs a rethink.
Private by default
Software should respect the people using it. No dark patterns, no needless data.
Ship and measure
Real numbers beat opinions. I optimize what I can actually observe.
